Bishop Ranch of San Ramon – Employment Hub with Free Commuter Services – Over 9 Million Square Feet of Class A Office Space in One Complex
Bishop Ranch of San Ramon offers 9 millions square feet of Class A office space to employers of all sizes. Notable employers with offices in one of the 56 buildings in Bishop Ranch include Chevron, AT&T, Armanino McKenna, Comcast, Irwin Home Equity, Old Republic Home Protection, Symyx, Sprint, 24 Hour Fitness, Nortel, Lennar, Centex, IBM and more.
The Bishop Ranch Transportation Association provides free commuter services to 35,000 employees in the 585-acre business park. To date over 2,000,000 free rides have benefited employees in Bishop Ranch. It’s estimated that the number will surpass 3,000,000 free rides by early 2010.
The free service free express bus service to the Walnut Creek Bart station started in 1984 using private buses, but expanded largely when they entered into a partnership with The County Connection. (bus service). The free service has grown to 33 daily trips to Walnut Creek BART, 19 trips to Duplin BART and 5 trips to meet the ACE (Altamont Commuter Express) trains in Pleasanton. Weekend service was added last year, as was over a hundred additional daily trips on local bus route 135 (Dougherty Valley) and route 121 (local bus service to the San Ramon Valley). These services to BART, ACE and regional express buses create commuter inks to every part of the Bay Area and beyond.
