Final walkthrough: Good for the Buyer, Good for the Seller

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008 vickienagy

A final walk-through is the buyer’s opportunity to:

1)      determine that the home is in visibly the same condition as it was at time of executed contract.2)      ascertain that agreed-upon repairs were made satisfactorily

3)      verify that the items to be conveyed are in the residence

4)      insure that no trash or personal property was left onsiteThe seller benefits from having peace of mind. The best outcome is when the buyer has a satisfactory final walk-through. If not, there is generally opportunity to rectify the situation and resolve any issues prior to closing.
