About the Community of Alamo CA

Located on 680 south of Walnut Creek CA, Alamo is a vastly different area. Alamo remains an unincorporated community, even after the last vote to incorporate in 2009.

For over 50 years the Alamo Improvement Association (AIA) has been focused on enhancing and improving the welfare of properties in Alamo and to preserve the established character of Alamo as an agricultural and semi-rural residential area. Alamo homes tend to be on larger size parcels further enhancing Alamo’s reputation as a semi-rural residential area. Alamo is governed by the County Board of Supervisors, with the AIA and several active county service areas advising on police, landscape and park issues.

Alamo is home to Round Hill Country Club, which was originally founded in 1959 as a combination golf course and luxury housing community in the gently rolling hills of Alamo. Round Hill boasts a newly remodeled championship par-72 golf course and 15 championship tennis courts (9 lighted), aquatics facility and fitness center.
