San Ramon CA Faves – Things to Do in San Ramon CA – Sheep Shearing Day
Come join in the fun things to do in San Ramon CA! San Ramon Historic Foundation and Forest Home Farms will host Sheep Shearing Day Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Forest Home Farms, 19953 San Ramon Valley Blvd., San Ramon. Admission is $3 in advance or $5 at the gate.
Come celebrate spring at Forest Home Farm’s Sheep Shearing Day. Watch the sheep get their spring “haircut” by a professional sheep shearer. Join in the festivities with wool spinners, wood turners, woodcarvers, quilters and more. Watch and learn as they share their age-old crafts. Enjoy the entertainment, a kids craft area, old fashioned games, and tours of the farm. There will be a special performance of “Just Kidding Music” at 1:00 p.m. Entertainers, Lynn and Jill encourage an awareness of American folk music through the use of play party games, old-time fiddle tunes, stories, songs and parody. The audience is encouraged to participate by playing along with a variety of folk instruments.
